New H1 Import System in the EU: Final Goodbye to the DUA

H1

The long-standing Single Administrative Document (DUA) will come to an end: from October 14, 2025, no new import declarations can be submitted through this system.

It will be replaced by the new H1 import system, part of the Union Customs Code (UCC). Unlike the DUA, H1 is fully electronic, with new codes, automatic validations, and enhanced traceability. While this improves control, it also means that any error can result in delays, penalties, or blocked shipments.

At Cargo Services Group, we help importers smoothly adapt to H1, ensuring fast, compliant, and secure customs clearance.
